A movie based on the drug related kidnap and murder of a Southern California teenager is the subject of a legal challenge to block its scheduled January 12 release. Jesse James Hollywood, the defendant in the pending criminal trial, argues that, despite name changes, the movie portrays him in a bad light and would interfere with his right to a fair trial. A federal trial judge decided the movie is protected by the first amendment. Mr. Hollywood appealed.
