| The new school dress code in Lincoln Park, Michigan prohibits writing, pictures or political messages - unless on school sanctioned apparel such as clothing with the school mascot on them. In protest, seven students wore clothing commemorating 9-11. Three siblings wore shirts bearing the text of the first amendment. All were sent home. Parents complained the first amendment rights of their children were violated. School officials said they might consider changing the dress code some day - just not now. |
