At a public college in California, anti-abortion demonstrators displayed posters of bloody, dismembered fetuses at the entrance to the cafeteria. A shouting match erupted. Cafeteria employees called police who arrested a demonstrator who refused requests to leave and obtain a permit. A judge ruled that, although the permit requirement may have been unconstitutional, the police officers acted in good faith and are, therefore, not liable to the demonstrator.
