City officials in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania violated the first amendment when they refused to permit a man to preach against homosexuality at a gay pride event in a public park. A federal judge ruled the city should’ve allowed him to speak and used existing law to remove him if his speech rose to the level of a violation. The city argued it has an obligation to protect groups with permits to use parks.
